I live in one of those communities where everyone's backyard faces each other and I would like to have someone put up a fence and possibly build a deck for me sometime this spring. Does anyone have any recommendations?

My HOA allows fences up to 6'. I think they don't allow vinyl fences though. They're pretty flexible.

We used Professional Fence Builders (ask for Stanley Watts). His prices were cheaper than I could have bought the materials for alone. (And that is cheaper than Depot, Lowes, OR internet companies.)

Stanley's number is: 864.303.3172. I think he is ou around Greenville or Spartanburg area, but does a lot of work in the Fort Mill area.

We did the black aluminum wrought-iron look fencing.

Good advice to check what the HOA allows.

Do not use Premier Fence and Deck!!!

They promised professional service with warranty. They built a solid fence, but the fence is not straight and it clearly misses the property lines. I mapped everything out very cleanly ahead of time for them, but the installers paid no attention to the maps. In fact, if I have not watched the post digging excercise, they would of made a bigger mess than they did.

They have avoided my calls for over 2 months now. I simply wanted to purchase additional pickets (special order) from them.

Mistakes happen, but it is how you recover that counts. They basically dropped all communication after getting paid!!!
