I have stumbled onto a nice subdivision and want to know what folks think about it? It's Lynnwood Farms in Fort Mill, SC. How is the commute to Charlotte and are there plenty of amentities around there for everyday living? Please feel free to share anything else about it with me. Thanks!

Hi!

I'm not sure I can help too much, but I remember stumbling on Lynnwood Farms myself when I was looking from afar about two years ago. It had large lots! Now that I am here, I know approximately where it is although I have not been there.

My impression is that it is out pretty far from the center of Fort Mill (it is south) and also further from Charlotte than are the many subdivisions that surround Gold Hill Road which is in the northern part of Fort Mill.

Gold Hill Road and the town of Tega Cay (you are still in Fort Mill schools) are really convenient to Interstate 77 and all of the ammenities nearby (food shopping, drug stores, gas stations, banks, fast food, etc.)

A description on the internet says Lynnwood Farms is off Doby Bridge Road which to me is more out in the country. It also says that it is sold out. There may be some resales.

I guess what I am trying to say is that there are many areas to live in that are closer to Charlotte for a commute and are surrounded by conveniences. This is not to say that this area is just all businesses. It just helps to know you can get to a food store etc. quickly if needed!

Hope this helps a bit.
