I know there are many restaurants in the Charlotte city area, but for those days I dont feel like driving far from home..... What are some really great restaurants in Fort Mill itself?

Also we really enjoy "ethnic" cuisines a lot. Any mediterranean, african, indian, etc restaurants directly in fort mill? and are they good?

I will handle the "ethnic" cuisines in Fort Mill first: Mediterranean (No) - Italian (Yes, several) - African (No) - Asian (Yes, Several) - Indian (No) - Mexican (Yes, a few)...oh...also represented in Fort Mill...the Irish and the British (McHale's Irish Pub and Six Pence Pub).

Each person will of course have their own favorite restaurants (in Fort Mill) but a few of mine are:

Captains Steve's (Family Seafood Restaurant)
Red Bowl Asian Bistro
DeMarco's Italian Seafood Grill
Mama Mia's
The Towne Tavern

Well, my favorites are (in no particular order):

Rey Azteca
4052 Charlotte Hwy
Lake Wylie, SC
(just over the Buster Boyd Bridge/right side of street/same center Lake Wylie Hardware is in/opposite side)

Don Pedro
10015 Lee St
Pineville, NC
(corner of S. Polk and Hwy 51)

Charanda Mexican Grill
2260 Crosspointe Dr
Rock Hill, SC 29730
(just across the road from Lowe's Hdwe)

now everyone's taste for mexican food varies..even some of the items you use to order out west will look or taste completely different out here. I personally am not a big fan of ground beef for my taco/burritos, etc....which that seems to be used alot here...so I ask for shredded beef/or they sometimes call it shredded beef "picadillo".

Happy Eating!
