A family in denial over current events in progress.

Can you recommend a professional mediator or negotiator in York County?

and maybe......first of all, what would their profession be?

looking for a mediator or negotiator (not sure what their actual profession would be)
to sell (convince) a family to consider cash for keys versus the alternatives that can become ugly.

It's a real estate term and I thought the people who would know it's meaning would be the ones who might be able to recommend someone that can mediate or negotiate that a family take the offer.
--------------------------
"Cash for Keys" gives cash to owners or tenants of homes in return of vacating the house and surrendering its keys. The agreement makes sure that it will be cleaned and left in good condition. Included also in the agreement are the date when the home has to be vacated.

I think a government program starting April 5th offers $1500 for "moving out". I have a family that needs to be "talked to and explained" why they should take the cash for keys to avoid eviction which will hurt their credit for many years (9 years?) I heard.

An eviction doesn't hurt your credit!

a real estate agent who does 40+ foreclosures a year said it hurts their credit for 9 years.
That is just what I was told....heresay, I guess.

MY ERROR...........not the eviction, but the FORECLOSURE hurts their credit for 9 years.
This is why cash for keys is offered to a family to accept the short sale to avoid the foreclosure.
