I am looking to relocate to Greater Charlotte area from NJ for better quality of life for my family, which includes better weather and affordability.

I am an SAP Analyst and wondering if someone knows of companies using SAP in area.

I don't know any but those companies are probably not hiring.

There is high unemployment down here along with a large influx of new residents from all over the country. There are very few jobs to be found.

Sorry.

Well.... theres a few large companies down here. I live in Fort Mill and work for ESPN in Charlotte. We use SAP, but, the SAP support is mainly in Florida.

Citi Financial has a big building in town, unsure if they use SAP. Id say you would most likely find something in charlotte.

Most of the larger companies who are using SAP also hire via consulting companies... You might want to try someone like Tek Systems to get your foot in the door.

I've seen some postings for SAP consultants off CareerBuilder.com and so forth. You also might want to hit up some of the consulting houses as mentioned. Here is a list of a few in the area:

Apex
Insight Global
Sherpa
Tek Systems

There are more, the above is just a sampling of the companies I see a lot of posts from.

Good luck!

My guess is all the large companies do. Bank of America, Wachovia, Lowes, Coca Cola, etc.

The others who brought up the smaller contracting/consulting companies made good recommendations.

I don't think the job situation is as dire as some have made it out to be in the white collar space. I know several people that have been hired at Bank of America and Wachovia, and the contracting gigs appear to be in demand as well. I would not suggest moving without a solid offer in hand, however, but that goes for anywhere in the country.

Our friends in the trades / blue collar are hurting more. That seems to be the area hardest hit by the economy around here.
