I just went to Buffalo Wings and Wings on Saturday night. It is closer to the Ballantyne area in Charlotte, though not that far from Fort Mill if you come across 160 to 521 South. Being a transplant from the North over 10 years ago and selling wings myself at one time, I thought they were some of the better wings I've had in the area. They were cooked so the outside was crispy, inside moist, and meaty. I had the traditional hot sauce and my daughter had the medium. She even commented before I did that they were really good. It is a chain and you can check-out their menu online. They opened early February and are packed on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a large outside patio, live music some nights, and some really good drink specials. I generally don't comment a whole lot about chains, though they seem to be doing the wing thing right.

I like the Buffalo wings at Empire Pizza and Deli in Rock Hill. Off Exit 82C - directly across from Hooters. Very good pizza as well.

I normally do not order wings, but I did for the first time in years last week at Empire Pizza. I was very impressed and did not know if this place was just that good or if I had just been missing a treat. I think it is probably both.

Do you mean Buffalo Wings & Rings? Buffalo Wild Wings? Wild Wing Cafe?

Hard to choose just one, so these are my Top 3: Wing King (several locations), Empire Pizza, Hooters. (last two in same plaza, just off I77 at Celanese)

Sorry, my post should have read: Buffalo Wings and Rings. I posted as the Ft. Mill border is only a half mile away, though on the outskirts of downturn Ft. Mill. I can be in downtown Ft. Mill near Gold Hill Rd. in 15-20 minutes and I live within walking distance of Buffalo Wings and Rings.

Hey - I heard Chicken Shak had good wings, but the one on the corner of Doby's Bridge Rd. and Tom Hall St. closed. Anyone know what happened? There was always cars there so I don't get it. We never went there, but I'm just curious as to why it closed.

I was curious about that also. I wanted to try it, but then it was gone.
