Description: Founded in 1789 by the Jesuits, Georgetown Prep is one of the metro area’s oldest private schools and is the country’s oldest Jesuit school. The 435 ninth- through twelfth-grade students who attend the all-male boarding school follow a curriculum steeped in academic and religious tradition. Honors and advanced placement courses are plentiful. Seniors are required to perform 40 hours of community service and participate in an ethics class.
