Category: Tours & Attractions
Telephone: (856) 365-3300
Address: 1 Riverside Dr.
Insider Pick:

Description: You have to cross the Delaware River for this one, but this place is way too cool to let a little extra water stop you. Waiting on the other side are 200,000 square feet of sharks, hippos, penguins, seals, free-flying birds, and sea life from around the world living in their own lagoons, rain forests, and saltwater seas. You can even touch a shark. Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For some pretty hefty fees—but a lifetime of bragging rights—you can swim with the sharks ($165), frolic with the seals ($145), or make friends with some black-footed penguins ($125). Getting there can be part of the fun if, instead of driving, you take the Riverlink Ferry from Penn’s Landing (215-925-LINK; riverlinkferry.org; $7 round-trip) to the aquarium or other Camden waterfront attractions.

The Jets have made their way into the playoffs a total of 13 times in their history, most recently during the 2009 season. One of the most famous team members was Joe Namath, though other players, such as Dan Marino, Ken O’Brien, Art Monk, and Brett Favre, have made football history playing for the Jets. In Jan 2009 the team welcomed Rex Ryan as its newest head coach.
