Description: Wild Island has a wonderful go-kart racing facility. The raceway has two tracks, one for larger children and one for smaller. The big kids get to drive gas-powered Indy cars, and the little ones drive gas-powered Sprint cars. .In addition to the go-karts, Wild Island has a water park, miniature golf courses, and an assortment of other attractions for kids of all ages.

Description: Part of the Wild Island water park complex, this newly renovated miniature golf course has two 18-hole courses, which feature piped-in music on all of the holes. It’s open all year with winter hours Monday through Thursday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hours may be extended during the summer.

Description: RockSport’s climbing wall is the biggest in the Reno/Tahoe area. It’s 32 feet high and spans the entire length of this warehouse’s wall. The center offers several workshops during the week, ranging from belaying lessons to kid’s climb night. It also offers monthly memberships. If you just want to climb, it’s open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the week, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. RockSport offers day passes for $12 and a variety of special pricing throughout the week for activities such as Monday Night Madness, ladies and youth nights, and kids climb time. The center provides all the necessary equipment, which you can rent for $5 per day.
