Getting Here, Getting Around - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Getting Here, Getting Around

As you might expect in a city built on oil, the automobile is still the number one way of getting around Tulsa. And if you want to get to Tulsa, driving or flying are your best choices.

For a city that’s not a major airline hub, Tulsa’s quite accessible. Again, thanks to the oil boom and the business people it brought to Tulsa, the city has a long history of airline service, with some of the nation’s most notable aeronauts, including Oklahoma native Wiley Post, flying in and out of town.

However you get here, expect to spend time on the roads. Things are spread out, but traffic is rarely a problem and most destinations, even from one side of town to the other, are less than a 30-minute drive.
