Description: This urbane and contemporary spot quite near the Willamette is a lovingly upgraded and refurbished hotel that offers excellent value and an outstanding location. Hotel Fifty will provide you with the standard amenities of a modern hotel, including free wireless, snug memory foam beds and cool linens, iPod docks, and large, capacious showers. In addition, all rooms are smoke-free. Parking is $20 per day, but the hotel is very, very close to the MAX line, so in theory you don’t need a car. One nice touch is that they will let you print your boarding pass without your incurring the usual business-center fees that hotels like to add. Another amenity, H50, is not some random oxygen species, but is in fact a nice bistro that is perfectly suited for its location.

Description: The renowned Marriott service and the plentiful amenities you have come to expect are here presented in a boutique hotel setting. This hotel features nearly 250 rooms and 10 suites on 20 floors; it’s got a cocktail lounge and a restaurant on the premises; it’s in the heart of downtown but close to the Pearl District, the Chinese Garden, and the river. It’s a good hotel for the business traveler: The rooms have high-speed Internet access (fee-based), and the hotel provides a generous amount of meeting space. The paneled lobby is quite lovely, with a big chandelier and a sweeping staircase just right for making a spectacular entrance.
