Description: It’s hard to beat the view from Capt. Dave’s Dockside. Overlooking the salt marsh, there is a large boardwalk you can stroll if you want to take in the views before dining. Serving food since 1975, Capt. Dave’s reopened in 2006 with a brand-new building that includes porches and large, homey rooms. The spacious deck overlooking the water features live music each weekend, and the piano bar in the lounge draws regulars.Open for lunch and dinner, Capt. Dave’s is known for the dishes it has created to cook on its lump charcoal grill, including steak, lobster, and other specialties. The charcoal is actually wood that has been burned into a coal form, which gives the food a unique flavor.

Description: Lee’s Kitchen has been serving up fresh seafood in Murrells Inlet since 1948, and what began as a country store with just 10 tables has been enlarged six times over the decades. One of the few Murrells Inlet restaurants still operated by the family of its original owners, Lee’s is now owned by the third generation. They treat their customers like family, too, and people return year after year. The menu includes many of the same recipes that Pearl and Eford Lee created when they started the business. Homemade she-crab soup and soft-shell crabs are among the favorites, and you can’t beat the homemade pie for dessert! Lee’s is open Mon through Sat starting at 5 p.m. They only accept reservations for parties of 12 or more.
