Description: Serving up country music for more than 60 years, John T. Floore’s Country Store is one of the last true Texas honky-tonks. The list of performers who have graced its stage is long and prestigious: Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and Merle Haggard, to name just a few. The inside is decorated with autographed photos, Christmas lights, antique memorabilia, and all the original oak fixtures, while outside are the dance floor and stage where most concerts happen. Description: This steak house began as a tearoom in 1929. Located 12 minutes from Six Flags Fiesta Texas on Scenic Loop Road, the restaurant is about a 45-minute drive from downtown San Antonio, but well worth the trip, thanks to its romantic candlelight atmosphere and excellent food. Along with a full selection of mesquite-grilled steaks, the Grey Moss Inn also serves non-beef dishes such as mesquite-grilled Pacific salmon and lamb chops with fresh rosemary cabernet sauce. The extensive list of over 500 wines has been cited by Wine Spectator magazine.The Grey Moss Inn is one of San Antonio’s favorite wedding spots.
