Del Mar: Del Mar, California, is home to the Del Mar Racetrack. In 1938 the famous Seabiscuit-Ligaroti match occurred here. The track is located between I-5 (on the left) and the Pacific Ocean. Races run mid July through early September. Joe Bellavia.

Your vantage is from the corner of 15th Street and Camino Del Mar looking west towards the Pacific Ocean. On the right and across the street is L’ Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa.
