  • Description:
  • Although Alarka Creek Cabins have been in operation since the early 90’s my husband Bob and I, Sherry, have been blessed to own the cabins for the past 2 years. This is our dream and God made it come true for us. We love meeting new people and we get excited when we have new guests coming in. We have 2 cabins, one sleeps 6 and one sleeps 4 and we have a suite that sleeps 4. All have full kitchens with stoves, refrigerators and microwaves. Both of our cabins and our suite are right on Alarka Creek. The creek is stocked with so you can throw in a fishing line to see what you might catch or just put your feet in the water or wade up and down the creek. The water is cool and clear and if a nap is what you need then the sound of the creek will put you to sleep in a heartbeat. Both cabins and the suite are decorated with antiques but have the amenities of today’s living. We provide all the linens, sheets, towels, pillows, comforters and blankets and such and provide some things that you might need to get you started on your vacation such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, dishwashing and dishwasher liquid. But if we have forgotten something that you may need there are grocery stores right in town about 3 miles from the cabin. If you do get the urge to go out and wander around the area then you will find multiple things to do. There is the Great Smokey Mt Railway, the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) is nearby and offers great white water rafting, Deep Creek has great tubing, there is golf, canoeing, kayaking, and shopping. You can visit the Indian reservation in Cherokee, and there are a host of other things that you can enjoy. But the best part of your vacation will be rocking on the porch, listening to the water and watching the birds, ducks, ground hogs, butterflies and all of the other animals that live here on Alarka too.
