Dr. Thomison was the leading physician for the railroad and coal mines in this area. Dr. Thomison was also the physician to Attorney William Jennings Bryan of the imfamous Scopes Trial's. Dr. Thomison was the attending physician at the time of Attorney Brayn's death, only two month's after the trial's had ended. Dr. Thomison and his wife Ella had three children.
