Caregiver homes assists adults who care full time for a disabled person 16 years old or over; or an elderly person in their home. We provide a financial stipend of up to 16,000.00 per year, tax free; a nurse and a case manager to educate,train,assess and support the family. caregiver homes falls under the adult foster care system and is funded by Mass Health. There is no obligation or cost. Consumers on the program can require minimum assistance such as cueing and supervision all the way up to hospice and end of life care. Disabilities can be mental or physical but must be chronic. Caregiver Homes is the leading adult foster program in the state and provides services to over 2,000 individuals statewide. They have state of the art monitoring systems to ensure that your loved one has the care and services they need to remain home and in their community. There is a required caregiver note uploaded on a computer each day describing the persons care. If you do not have a computer, a laptop is provided and education given on the use.
