Zenaida Cellars

Zenaida Cellars offers a collection of popular wines at a location where guests can spend the night, host a party or simply try a few of the wines. The winery is owned by Eric Ogorsolka and his wife, a couple with a long history of wine making. On staff is an event coordinator, a manager of the tasting room, wine club and loft and Ogorsolka's assistant. The Zenaida philosophy of winemaking is simple and straightforward and they rely on the proven classic procedures of making their wine that have been used for centuries. Ogorsolka believes the soil and vineyards where the grapes are grown are just as important as every other step of making the wine. Sustainable farming practices are used to grow the grapes. The winery has been in business since 1988 when Ogorsolka's parents purchased the land. He studied biology in college and began working at a winery shortly after graduation. Zenaida was opened officially in 2000 and has been producing popular wines ever since. The winery is located in the Templeton Gap area, west of Paso Robles at the base of the Santa Lucia Mountains. The winery features 36 acres, 22 of which are vineyards. The tasting room is open every day from 11 am until 5 pm. Guest accommodations are available and visitors can choose tot stay in the Winemaker's Loft or the CellarMaster's Suite.
