I do. Just named the new one this morning....because the old one gave out last night.



I think I started, a generation ago, when I started working for those who named their mainframe computers. Granted, it helped a lot that screen technology had advanced enough to make a good image of who the computer was named for.



I name my computers for heroines. So it has been........

Lyta (Babylon V): Windows...

Northern Exposure to the point that I am even binge watching it some, an episode or two a day.

In the retirement section, I have been remarking about how to be well when one is alone and for me, that means the ranch.

This morning, I was out there to greet the sun, a kaftan pulled over so I didn't have to get too dressed from bed, my coffee in one hand, keys in the other (because one should never go through a door which could lock behind them without the keys), and I marveled at the birds a chirping.

Of course, I have heard the birds chirp in many a mornings, but...

I awoke at 0530ish and it is already almost 0930?

I know, the Net is contagious and that is were it went, from the dark to the dawn to just after 0830.

I guess I should think of the things I have accomplished, such as making the coffee, greeting the down, started the dishwasher, made and had my breakfast, and now having fed the kittens.

Sort of. We are out of shreds and I had to give them pate. Melas would go for it but Izzy & Gizzy turn their nose up...

Well, I'm back! And I had a blast! But for all the hand wringing before, those God were just against me, doncha know?

I mean, I was going to St. John......and my checked luggage ended up in St. Louis, so no formal clothes to be had at all!

No, not really. The airlines took VERY GOOD care of me and my luggage was in the same place with me every step of the way. Just that formal clothes weren't required at the last dinner. I did put a black sweater on over my Tac shirt, so...
