We are in the past tense.

It is Monday night and I am laying on the couch across from him. I have already showered and my hair is dry. Tomorrow morning I have a job interview, and it takes me over the bridge.

Thanksgiving

I am looking out the windows now and the sky is bright and blue, just the smallest bit of movement in the trees. Hardly any of the fall colors remain and soon enough I will see nothing but the contrast of the darkness of the trees laying against the blue of the sky. Some puffy white clouds would surely enhance the picture.

I made it through Thanksgiving with my family without a tear shed by myself. It was certainly getting to be that time, I am quite sure. The pictures were coming...

Today has proven to be a most difficult day for me, as it normally is. I spent the day thinking of my father and of my life up until now. I had a wonderful childhood and could not have had better parents.
