Lifeguard On Duty

Psalm 69:1-2 - Save me, O God,for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters;the floods engulf me - As everyone knows, at a public swimming pool or beach a sign that reads LIFEGUARD ON DUTY means that someone is watching over the people at that place who might have entered an area of water beyond their abilities. All through the Bible we are told that God acts as our "lifeguard" when we get into a bad situation. King David used the analogy that he was in water he couldn't handle, and called upon God to save him when he wrote Psalm 69:1-2. We all get into "deep water" sometimes, I know I do, but God is there to save me. His greatest act of saving people was when he sent his one and only son, Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, so we can be forgiven and live with him in his heavenly kingdom one day. It should be the goal of all people to learn about and come to Christ and take his free gift of eternal salvation. And we can only do this because there is a lifeguard on duty. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! What About Jesus?
