This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Wasted

Posted 01-15-2011 at 02:57 PM by woodworkingmenace

I slept in, til 2:30pm!! What a waste of a day!! I felt like I should just go to the facilities, get something to eat afterwards and go back to bed and wait til the morning to start all over again! sheesh!!

I got up and asked my Wife, why she let me sleep in so long, and she said "You didnt go to bed til after 1am, (after my bath), so, we let you sleep in today!! And this from a woman, who, if she slept in past 8am, would chastize me for letting her sleep in and wasting her entire day!! ROTFLOL.. Wimmin, I just cant figure them critters out...

Well, I did make myself useful, I cut up some home made noodles that she laid out on wax paper, so she could put in the turkey noodle soup she was making. It is, and was delicious!! Yummy She had draained all the grease off of the turkey before she put it in the freezer, so that made it better.

I sat down at my computer with a bowl of it and enjoyed it immensley. She is going to put the rest of the noodles in the freezer for another day, and another pot of soup...I can hardly wait...

I did get to watch The Turning Shop on PBS and I decided to DVR that and the WoodWright Shop. Who knows.. If I decide to get back into woodworking again, (reduce my tools to a level, where I can sit down and do the work), well, it would be something to occupy my time again. Ive been to Robinson Township Mall and have seen the Wood Shop (dont recall the actual name of the place), and I can get a small lathe to do pens and things like that, but, who really want very expensive pens, when you can get them 'elcheapo' from everywhere? As I figure it, it would cost me about 30 bucks for each pen (all the 'guts' that have to be put in, and the wood blanks). But, if I dont start getting 'down' in weight by next February (of '12), then I will just get that small lathe and 'go for it'...

Retirement is nothing but waking up and going to sleep each day and hoping something catches your interest during the day to make it worthwhile, or, finding something to occupy your time to make a difference and make life 'interesting'. Right now, its going to exercise classs 2 or 3 times a week, but, when I dont get to go there, then I dont HAVE anything else to do!

Its nice that they are bringing in a lot of new programing this week, new episodes of Fringe, House and lots of other things, so I can at least find something to occupy myself in the evenings

OK, my Wife is watching something that looks interesting on the Telly, so, I will go an watch that with her...

I wish you well...
