Sunday, the day of a million 'gods'...

Posted 04-10-2011 at 09:11 AM by Time and Space

Today is Sunday...the day of a million 'gods'...

No one really seeks 'god' anymore...if ever...

Rather we seek 'ourselves' our 'culture' our 'self interest'...and simply call that 'god'...

In other words, the only god most of us serve, is the one we see in the mirror...the one we feel every day...ourselves...

Many have been seeking themselves their whole life, and call that 'god'...to justify it.

For it is more noble to say

'I'm following god'

Than it is to say

'I'm following self'

This is evident in that no two people can seem to agree on anything, even when Churches form, they eventually branch off...

To the European clergy, god is European, cause they are...

To the Asian clergy, god is Asian, cause they are...

To the African Epistipal church, god is 'black', cause they are...

To the feminist, god is 'female', cause they are...

To Southeners, god is Southern, cause they are...

To racist, god is 'racist' cause they are..

To Raskafarians, god is 'Rasta' cause they are...

And on and on and on...you can keep breaking down the particulars of god until it comes back to 'self'...and in the end, that's really all we're serving...

To truly seek Gods 'will', would probablly inconvience most..

So most don't seek his will, rather we seek self...

For those who want to move on...I think admitting that is an important first step...

I think some radio Pastor may of read from this blog, and stole or used this theme in one of their sermons i heard them promoting this morning...

It wouldn't shock me...Pastors are good at borrowing from other peoples themes...

If they did, or if one of their deacons did, they would never admit it...
They would never admit that right here on this blog, I hit upon one of the most important themes regarding religion and salvation ever...

But because I'm the one saying it...it's not 'valid'...I don't have the proper 'pedigree'...and I 'look funny'...so it's not 'valid'...

But let some geeky, nerdy looking Pastor repeat the exact same sentiment...and suddenly they get praise and acknowledgement...where as I get dismissed...

    People are so intellectually dishonest...
I wish everyone would stop pretending that their fair...
