Yahoo....Summer in Reno has officially begun....

....or at least it will next Tuesday at about 10:30 a.m.!!
Now it is time to enjoy all this area has to offer. Following is a list of events, activities and areas you are not going to want to miss if you live in Northern Nevada and if you are visiting, hopefully your visit will be well timed!!
Reno Aces Baseball --- this park is so much fun and has plenty of great dining opportunities for pre or post game activities. Game days are June 13-26, June 21-24, June 30-July 3, July 14-21, July 26-29, and Aug 3-10.
Farmers Market on Victorian Square in Sparks - Every Thursday evening beginning June 9th
Sparks Marina and Shopping/Dining at Legends Outlet Mall --- GOOD TIMES!
Reno Film Festival --- June 16-19
Reno Rodeo --- June 16-25
BBQ, BREWS and BLUES --- June 24-25
Wine Walk in downtown Reno --- Third Saturday each month
Beer Crawl in downtown Reno --- Fourth Saturday each month
Kayak, Inner Tube, Raft on the Truckee River, if you are novice you might want to consider waiting for the water to slow down a bit....it is very fast right now
Artown --- Entire month of July, a fun month of events, one of my favorites is Pops on the River...
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival --- July 15 - August 21...many people are not aware of this family fun event. Good food, good drink, great atmosphere. Watch a Shakespearean Play (Twelfth Night) in a great outdoor theater on the shores of Lake Tahoe!
Hot August Nights --- August 9-14, what is not to love about classic cars, cruises, live music and great family fun!!
Best in the West Rib Cook-Off --- Aug 31 - Sept 5....Another great Victorian Square activity sponsored by the Nugget...YUMMMY
Great Reno Balloon Race --- Sept 9-11...this is the 30th year and one of my favorite summer events!
National Championship Air Races --- September 14-18...in its 48th year, this event is a local favorite!
Street Vibrations --- September 21-25...if you like motorcycles, street fairs and music, you will really like this event.
Great Italian Festival --- October 8-9, buy a bowl of spaghetti for $2 and sample free sauces from great family recipes...don’t forget to vote!!
This is just a sample of what you can expect to find in Northern Nevada over the summer. If you strike out a bit you can experience Country Music Festivals, The Onion Festival, Camel Races, Western Style Shoot Outs, Lake Tahoe, Concerts, Comdey Acts, Great Biking, Hiking, Scenic Vistas and so much more.
