Small town folks and big city peeps need each other
Let's start with the small town/rural families:
Small Towners at Home:
More likely to give you a warm hospitable greeting, even host you for the night, even some will treat you as a long lost member of the family. Reality though is they work hard, their work is a labor of love though, and its steady but tireless work. but life is earthy, perhaps you have a garden, farm animals vegetable crops, a horse stable, machinery that requires handy skills to operate.
When Small Towners visit the Big City
Now when/if this person ever does visit a large city, however expensive it may be, it is fun fun fun! It is a lot of action, nightlife, if you want a blast of fun in a city like NYC, find the small town tourists on the double decker bus and you will laugh your socks off...you will recognize them by their friendly impressionable greeting and genuine kindness

Urbanites in the Big City
Ahhh it is hard to believe this can happen, but the cutest of street entertainment, the people asking you for help, the yelling and screaming ultimately and gradually desensitizes people. The city is associated with your job life. People rush the streets from busy service-sector jobs back to their small apartments or little homes that are very expensive on the mortgages/taxes, or some sort of exhausting back/forth commute that drives people to yawn yawn yawn. But nonetheless on a Sunday afternoon, the city can be refreshing all over again. Their work involves brain overload and often leaves people stored up energy that you have to release by obtaining gym membership.
Urbanites When Visiting the Country on Vacation
It is with a true sentimentality for the nature of the countryside. A love of the horses and a sense that family farmers could spend more time cuddling with their animals and just loving the setting. Even desires to make a YouTube movie about the cute little chickens and/or playing with the pigeons, playing hide and seek with the deer or the cows?

But to the rural family...this is all silly thinking...this is normal life
THE TRUTH IS......
Both groups have completely different areas of superior life knowledge and neither can discredit their opposite. However, if both small Towners and urbanites came together for a few months and alternated between the settings, at least one at all times would be savy, and the other would be creating an ENORMOUS new level of fun for both the locals and the visitors. :)
