What will we leave for our children when were gone

Posted 04-01-2009 at 11:07 PM by srgrimes

As I scroll through the varios threads and read What makes a city better or worse or where I can find the Perfect home or why this should be legal or not, I have to ask; When we are through tearing the guts out each city, state, this country and finally the planet, "Just What will be left for our children?" We are so busy looking "in" at what we want, we need, or we think we deserve, What are "we" doing along the way to insure there is something preserved for our children? Do we share what is important with our children, or are we leading them on the same road of self destruction. Allowing them to think that the Planet will take care of itself! Let me know how each of you share with your kids the value of the resources of this Planet.
I never hear of kids watching educational TV and only see them look it up (online nodoubt) if its required school reading.

Nothing and nothing will be done. I have come to the conclusion that we have to just make the best of the last. The wealthy and powerful have destroyed all chance of turning back the clock. Actually, none of us have listened to the scientists and/or the scientists have lied and/or Bush had his people alter the reports. (all true)

I have been so down for so long, I don't know what to do. It's just the beginning of the end and I have to accept it. I must find a way to survive. As do we all.

Good luck kiddos! That's all I can say. Our parents said the same thing to us. (unsaid)

It's been two years since I posted this. Since then I have been part of the Gas drilling in the Marseilles shale in PA. many think we are ripping the guts out of this planet and destroying the drinking water of our children, all for a few dollars.
Let it be understood that unless we act now for the future of our children the Oil rich country's will own our children and create such a strangle hold on our economy that we will have no part of this country that the foreign Arab countries won't control! Natural Gas is not going to completely free us but it will give us a bargaining chip to guarantee our children's future!
