Trips to Old Forge

I was just thinking about trips to Old Forge. My time in Old Forge, my dad, my sister and I went to Enchanted Forest Water Safari. Well, actually my dad and sister actually went in, while I oddly decided to stay in the van. What sense did that make? An hour and half trip and nothing to show for it. Luckily, I had taken 2 more trips there afterwards.
Both were with an old girlfriend and I was able to partake in things I had never done before. During the first trip, went camping for the day. It was the first and only time I went on a canoe. It was great to go on a boat on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. We also had a cookout on a Lakeside beach and played a little bit of Basketball. This time I did go into Enchanted Forest too.
For the second trip with her family, we again went to Enchanted Forest. We also camped out for the weekend and went into town to the local arcade/pool hall. What I loved about that trip was the absolutely great drive down Route 28 to Blue Mountain Lake. It was gorgeous and what a nice, quaint community with small shops in the middle of the Adirondacks. I never thought that I would like camping, but it is amazing as to what you may enjoy if you step outside of your comfort zone.
