The Revolution should have started in 1913

Posted 10-07-2013 at 07:10 AM by sirron

We all know the hyper hypocracy of our government, but I just realized how long this has been going on.
If you, Mr./Ms. average American, earn anything above $400 a year, the government requires that you file for income tax abduction, (yes, that was on purpose). Even though your income tax is in most cases deducted directly from your pay, you still have to file, just to make sure you don't owe more. If you don't, they will find you. We are held accountable.

Meanwhile, we send the government billions of dollars every month, and they still can't or won't balance a budget, not do they care to live within a budget. We've read about the gross abuses of our tax dollars, and it's been going on for decades and only getting worse. The federal budget is, in a way, the government's filing of annual taxes and where they go. Only, this administration has not produced a budget in, what, four years now? You talk about fairness, Mr. President. This is not.

When you have liberals running things in Washington, it's always going to be a train wreck. They're notorious for reckless spending on frivolous things, and for laziness in terms of responsibility. They refuse to make themselves accountable to the American people. Nevertheless, we get the government we deserve, and the ignorance of some will only lead to dire consequences later on.

We need leadership in D.C., not recklessness. Thanks for writing; we need more people like you to stand up for our great America!

    What's This?

When FDR ran the government there was no train wreck but rather a laying of a lot more railroad. When Truman ran the government, he caused a train wreck for Japan. When JFK ran the government, he caused a train wreck for Russia. When LBJ was in office, he helped black Americans to get on the train and ride with dignity. During Carters time he tried to get America to live up to it's better self, which they refused to do. Clinton paid down the debt and left a surplus.
Now Obama has saved the economy, saved General Motors and Chrysler and is trying to save the health care system, all the while paying down the debt at 80 billion per month. Why don't we just take out those no good democrats and shoot em?

Where our history is concerned, President Obama can't do a damn thing about what's already happened, as he has so much contempt for our country's founding. He can only control the present day. If liberals are truly trying to move in the act of fairness, then they're looking in the wrong place. And we had a better economy with Republicans in office, but even they didn't always control spending with some of their decisions. They, however, passed budgets.

I wish this administration would decide to cut all exemptions of Obamacare and just let everyone be subject to it, including the president. Let's see what kind of economy we get when politicians experience the same travails and tribulations as the people they supposedly serve. Maybe these guys and gals will wake up.

How about it? It will never happen, but you're absolutely right. This alone should have sparked a revolution. Thanks for commenting!

I'm afraid it's only going to get worse, that is, until we can change it with the next election cycle. Thanks for writing!

Concerning your comments about the past presidents, fair enough. But Obama paying down the debt? Are you serious?
