The Audacity of Ignorance

Posted 12-06-2008 at 03:10 PM by pirate girl

For the life of me, I cannot understand that there are people who actually believe that President Elect Obama made it through the process of registering as a Presidential candidate, running against Clinton and Rove run campaigns and has managed to keep secret his place of birth and legal name changes.

How ignorant can people be? How can people believe that some obscure attorney or some nutbag private citizen has access to information that the State Department and other politicians with numerous investigators and attorneys do not?

How can they accept as unrefuted truth the mangled translation of the words from an African ambassador but will not accept that immediately following that translation, the ambassador spoke out and claimed that he was misquoted in translation?

How can they allege that Barack Obama used aliases and yet provide no proof to these claims?

And yet the people who are gullible enough to buy into this nonsense have the never to call the the people who don't naive and small minded.

Just baffling.

When you visit a foreign country and try to communicate you sometimes run into a language barrier. If the person you spoke to doesn't understand you, the correct way to proceed is not to consult a phrasebook, but to repeat yourself LOUDER!

The third try you REALLY NEED TO SCREAM!!!!!!

I personally think that this is what is occurring here. If they scream loudly enough and repeat themselves often enough, maybe A) somebody might start to believe it , and B) Maybe everyone will forget that they have been screaming as loudly in support of Bush for the past eight.

BTW - have you noticed how many conservatives NEVER supported Bush? Yeah, they voted for him and all, and they posted on message boards defending him and apologizing for him, but deep down inside they never really liked him.

    What a hoot!

Oh. One more thing. I really enjoy your posts. Go get 'em, Tiger!

And who should these true conservatives have voted for, Al Gore, Kerry? How many conservatives voted for Obama instead of the "not conservative" McCain? More than you think.
