moving to laramie...HELP

My boyfriend and I are planning a move to wyoming this spring. We are looking at the Laramie area but would love to hear any information about the state and city. Some backround info on the two of us: we work in a restaurant together here in Michigan. I am a server he is a cook. Those are probably going to be the types of jobs we look for there. He grew up in Alaska and I've lived in Michigan for my whole life. Any tips on what are good places to seek employment mostly in the way of the service industry. Or would another city in the state be more suitable. Thank you for any replies. All information would be extremely helpful.
