Go to your profile page, scroll down to messages, Click on List messages, set the dropdown in the middle to "sent messages" ("inbox" is the default shown) and there they are.

On the main Direct Message page, look for the popup menu under "Jump to Folder:"

Switch that popup menu to "Sent items" and click the "Go" button to the right of the menu.

You'll see the list of messages you've sent below it.
