BTW, under these Sudanese laws if President Obama were in Sudan, he too would be facing execution as his birth father was Muslim and he is married to a Christian woman (and claims that he too is Christian).
Why is the husband here in the US and she's there, with their 20 month old child and pregnant? Why/how did he come here and leave his family behind?
Daniel Wani moved to USA in 1998 and has been a naturalized U.S. citizen since 2005. He has muscular dystrophy and is weelchair bound. It is not clear the exact details of their travels, but there is no indication that she has ever been to the USA. Last summer he tried to arrange for his wife and child to move to New Hampshire. In the process she was turned into authorities by a tip and was instead thrown into jail.
South Sudan (majority Christian) only became an independent country in 2011. Since then the north has steered towards Islamic law.

Good point,strange situation,maybe it's a made up story ? I will not be surprised if it turns out to be the case.
