The Kentucky famly of five – a mom, dad and their three youngest children– have reached Fairbanks after riding across the country and taking the ferry to Alaska, completing a “7,000-mile journey of discovery.”

“As you’ve done so faithfully over the previous year, also this winter you have the chance to support our journey either using our PO box or our Paypal account,” their website says.

Their website is set up for $5 monthly pledges, automatic bill pay and checks by mail.

“The Pledge is a very popular option for those who want to see if we are able to make it to Alaska. To take the pledge, you agree to support us for $5 per month, for two years,” the website says.

Fairbanks Daily News-Miner - entry Kentucky family of five reaches town on one bike

Alright Alaskans, open up your wallets and give these deadbeat parents $5 dollars so they can enjoy a winter in Fairbanks.

Here's a link to their blog. I feel bad for the kids ages 7,4 and 3. I hope the parents get a job, so they don't freeze. I also think it's funny the 3 older kids think the parents are crazy and stayed home. I wonder who's paying for them? I mean clearly mom and dad aren't working.

Damn it. I spent the winter up around Fairbanks and now I find out I missed out on this five dollar a pop thing for people to read about my experiences.

Those idjits probably also are expecting the universe to provide them with a free place to live. Wonder if they've applied for welfare yet.

I wonder how they expect to get out when they find they can't make it in the middle of winter.

I'll send them a set of studded tires so they can head back this winter.

For twenty bucks a month, I'll install a webcam in my bathroom.
For thirty, I'll hook up the sound as well...

No Thanks I'm afraid sound would turn me off and with you as the star I would lose interest fast. You're not a bikini babe and sure don't have what attracts me.
