See FB for the sordid details.

Sure are a lot of Lisa M. signs around town though.

I noticed a raggedy old Miller campaign sign that the locals must be using for target practice. Seems to be some pretty good shots here in my old home.

Very nice town, always liked it.

Lisa Murkowski's dad Frank first came to Alaska there in the the 1950's stationed on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Sorrel, I was stationed on the same ship some years later when it was in Seward and Cordova. We took it to Baltimore, MD to be decommissioned, we took it though the Panama Canal in the mid 70's.

Well, I don't exactly live here though I do spend some time here now and then...I've always pretty much liked Ketchikan though. Tell ya what---come down and visit tomorrow morning and I'll show you that Miller sign I mentioned---funny how it's got a few more bullet holes in it today than it had yesterday.

Well, I just had a very enjoyable couple of glasses of wine with one of our CD Ketchikan residents. She was kind enough to give me her Lisa Murkowski for Senate button, which I put on my computer case.

Hi I am considering moving to Ketchikan AK or Juneau AK or Anchorage AK or Unalaleet AK. I have been applying for jobs. I have only been to Skagway for a summer so my knowledge is somewhat limited.

I prefer Ketchican over Juneau. Unalaleet is very far North near the Bering Sea but this is the one that pays the most. I would consider it if I knew there would be something fun to do from time to time or a way to excape.

I make around 50 K in Wisconsin and in Ketchican I'd make about $62 Kand Unalaleet around $72 K. When I go to the cost of living calculator it looks like I would need around 82 K to make it in Alaska but that sounds really high.

This is a big decision for me to leave WI with my two twin 16 year olds but they don't want to be here anymore either so I think, why wait?
