How strict are they about this, really? I am traveling with 2 cats and a dog, and all have health certificates that will be a few days older than the 30 day limit. I'm already in BC, and just realized this, so fixing it is really a problem. Any recent experiences?

If you're already in Canada, don't worry about it.

Default slightly old health cert

I am already in Canada, leaving Vancouver in the morning for the trip to Prince Rupert. I'll take your advice and not worry about it. Don't know what I'd do if I decided to try to fix it. We're making the big move to Alaska, been on the road from Texas for 4 weeks. Thought I had all the details covered, but this one slipped by me. Here's hoping it doesn't trip us up.

Prince George has some crazy drivers, keep this in mind when you pass through there. Take your time on Highway 1 north from Hope, BC, great scenery. South of Prince George is a nice little diner called Fort Alexandria, good food there.

Are you taking the Seat to Sky Highway or Highway 1?

Good question. Most of the online driving directions tell us to go south to Abbottsford and then north, but my hubby found one that said to go through Whistler. What would you suggest?

For scenery, Sea To Sky. Lots of great places to stop and see the sights. Abbostsford and Hope is the main west to east highway in Canada, can be full of cars. But that's only until you turn north from Hope. There is great places to see there, too. If you can't decide, flip a coin. Both are great drives.
