Heya folks. Crazy Oregonian here (if you ask the folks who know I am determined to go to AK). Now I put my plans for Nome off till next year to better prep myself, but I am wondering what the area is like in Mayish time frame? I've been trying to look up everything on my own but am having a small issue with finding this info out. While yes I want to permanently relocate up north i am realistic that first year it may not happen. I am a mechanic and diver and scuba repair specialist. Not really sure yet what skill to rely on for summer work time (hence the vacation idea). I figure in my vacation mode if the weather plays nice i may just rough it out up there and camp somewhere if I can without looking like a bum. I am no stranger to tough living off the grid in a tent so a little ****ty weather doesn't hurt too bad, but I know the time frame I am asking has the thaw to deal with as well and I figured you guys would know what to warn folks on and such. Thanks as always in advance.

This a common overdone question? I dont mean to ask questions that are repeated over and over. If so I apologize.

OP, I think he meant that people tried to answer your questions about what to expect when moving to Nome in your previous thread.
