Gossip first cause it gets boring in the bush and if you southern alaskans are here youre not classified as the bush youre classified as hawians,for me to consider you Bush people you can live west of Anchorage at least 100 air miles or live in the Fairbanks or higher area but of course that's just my thinking if you live in what i call Hawaii don't kill yourself,just Google find me a property at least one hundred miles from a road and start there again troll nation and good people just my opinion,

Surely you're not referring to Curry, cos he's done been locked up and released already and is now on a local celebrity tour having photo ops out and about town.
Regarding the cabin, check out the Northmen Guild or the Fox Maple school. Northmen have both a website and a facepage deal where there are videos and whatnot. Fox Maple - you can navigate to a website, then after that nearly everything are old journals and books that you have to buy, but holy cow... good stuff.
Both are specifically about timber framing, but they include this charred foundation technique that you refer to somewhere in their material, and wow, it's all super cool stuff to watch and read anyway. Some of the northmen videos have no English translation, but it's easy enough to follow along.
