How would you say that Albany compares to a suburb of NYC in North Jersey? Where i live now, you got a regular 3 bedroom house going for $400,000 on average, and then an additional $8000 in taxes. a small 2 BR Condo would go for about $250,000.
It's just too much for me. So I think that before i get settled here, I need to move. And Albany has always been a place that i have liked.
How would you consider the cost of living to be up there? Is it easy for a college educated young person to make it on one salary?
I would like to buy a condo either in the city of Albany, or in a surrounding area (a place with some nightlife around).
