Anyone have a favorite place to buy tamales for the holidays?

I consider the frozen Buenos brand Pork Tamales to be very good if prepared properly (which ain't difficult).

You can pick up some tamales muy sabrosos at Dos Hermanos.

But you can get some frozen tamales which are pretty good, and not difficult to fix.

The doors were locked and the lights were off at the Dos Hermanos location at 6211 4th NW on Monday. It appears the company has closed three of its four locations. A sign in the door says the store has closed. Two other locations had lights off and doors locked on Monday.

It looks like you won’t be able to get your “daily Dos” of award-winning burritos from Dos Hermanos any more except at UNM, and that spot may be closing soon.
