Was waxing nostalgic from when I was a teenager in Albuquerque from 1972-1975.
I lived in the NE area off of Osuna Ave - which back then was pretty much the 'edge' of development northward. Northward were some graded/undeveloped lots, then just open mesa and trails.
In that area was an earthen flood control dam that all the kids locally called "the cattle dam" - a gathering spot for everyone with a dirt bike (or friends who had dirt bikes).
Any long time ABQ residents remember this spot or better yet have pictures?
