House sold & <gasp> closed almost on time so we have packed our PODS and the camper and will be headed south, via a northern route I'm sure, to our new home state & city on Monday!!

It seems like forever has passed since we first started contemplating moving and started the preparations and yet it seems as if it was just yesterday we listed the house... and now we are moving!!

WHOOOPPPPEEEE!!!!

The weather has been spectacular here in the PNW up until last Sunday when we actually moved from our house. We thought it fitting that our last week here has been cool & wet - a proper Northwest send off to be sure.

Thanks to all of you for your delightful information on NM, ABQ and moving long distances. We hope to meet many of you when we get there. For those still in the throes of packing, listing, selling, etc - best of luck to you! I hope you are as lucky as we were with a quick, easy sell!!!

New Mexico, ready or not... here we come!!!

Have a safe trip, Soggy.

I hope your move is as easy as ours was.

And I hope that the city is everything you are expecting!

I've been gone so I may have missed some details - have you found a place to live in ABQ?

Welcome to ABQ, it stopped raining for the last few days which is good but it has been super hot and muggy out. If you need any help with a home, painters, vets, doctors etc feel free to ask me. I know how hard it can be moving into a new place. Even you just just need silly things like where to shop etc. Good luck on your move.

Thanks! We are really looking forward to the trip down there and getting settled. It seems we've been in such 'turmoil' the past 5 months or so... we are just ready for some rest & sunshine!!!! And good food!

I'm glad you got rain, but sorry to hear about the flooding. I hope that everyone faired OK thru it all.
