Subway was (is?) the most common franchise in the U.S..

Seems to reason that it'd be on every strip mall. So, I guess yes, they are that popular.

Nail salons are a high-margin, low-volume business. A bit like title loan places, which are a bit excessively common. So, again, no surprise that there are more of them than say, little grocery stores.

a nail saloon is a place to get your nails done, Im a guy, so if they are not called nail saloons than I dont know what they are called. I dont get my nails done by the way I just seem em on every block.

must be alot of people getting their nails done

Just having fun with ya. I know what a nail salon is. Used to get mine done, but the process does so much damage to one's own nails, that its not worth it. Took a year for my nails to grow out and strengthen after having it done.

Desert Sun, they were just jokin with you because a Salon and a Saloon are two very different things. However, I know me (and a lot of other guys) would start getting their nails done if someone opened up a Nail Saloon (talk about Wife-Husband bonding time)

and guess what the first shops were?
