A prohibition is in effect in New Hampshire for a fruity malt liquor called Mojo, which the maker calls "succulent," but state liquor officials warn is dangerous, because it could be confused with bottled water.
During an April 15 meeting of the N.H. Liquor Commission's Bureau of Enforcement, Commissioners Michael Milligan and Joseph Mollica voted to deny a license to allow distribution of Mojo in three flavors: Tropical Fruit, Strawberry Kiwi and Fruit Punch. Mojo's labels advertise "a rich marriage of flavors" and "exotic taste" and the drinks are sold in slim plastic bottles the manufacturer says ensure "no breakage when you're out tearing it up on the dance floor."
