Hanger 24 beers are very good if you can find them in your area.

Chocolate Porter was great.

Here in Richmond we have an assortment of local breweries so there is no shortage of awesome craft beers. My favorites from the VA area are Vienna Lager by Devil's Backbone, Hardywood Singel, Center of the Universe's Octoberfest.
Other than the local crafts, I'll have to agree with some of the others with Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas and New Belgium's beer.

I'm a big fan of IPA and Imperial IPA. Lagunita Hop Stopid is probably my favorite Imperial, Sam Adams Rebel is pretty good

I recently had a Dia De Los Meurtos - Death Becomes You amber ale and loved it!

Interesting on Dia. I had their IPA and hated it. I didn't say anything right away, but stopped drinking my beer. then the person that brought the beer mentioned they didn't like the beer, so then I was able to agree and move on to a better beer. I think I drank 2 ounces and chucked it.

Had a Punkuccino from Elysian this weekend. Probably the best pumpkin beer I've ever had.
