I am pretty flexible at this point. I can fly out of Bogota, but any city will do in regards to destination. So, with that said, what would be the cheapest city to fly to from Colombia? Is there a (low cost) carrier I should look out for? I have like 6-7 months to plans this (until I need the flight that is), so I am flexible with time too. I would imagine something in Bolivia or Paraguay would be cheapest to fly to but I am open to advice!

If you are flying internationally, you're probably going to want to check LAN or Avianca. They will give you the best rates in your flying and both are nice airlines in my opinion. I have had nothing but great experiences with both.
As for which destination is the cheapest, well that will depend on the dates of when you are going(and also just kind of random). From Bogotá, you're probably going to have good luck going to Miami, Quito, Lima, Panama City. As you start moving down to Santiago or Buenos Aires it might start getting more expensive.
Spirit Airlines probably is cheapest, but might be torture for you. Might be a little cheaper to fly out of Cartagena, but I'm sure their Bogota flights to Ft Lauderdale would be cost effective enough
Bogota has the most flight options out of all the cities in Colombia plus it is served by Spirit and JetBlue so it is probably the cheapest options overall. That being said I would definitely look for airfare to/from other cities as well.

You just gotta check every day because the prices fluctuate a lot. Sometimes Avianca is cheaper, sometimes AA is cheaper. Spirit can be crappy and sometimes it's not even that economical. Just try not to book your return flight in late August because many kids are coming back from summer vacation. The cities doesn't matter, I have not seen a pattern I have seen all major cities on special at different times.
