Hi and how are you? I am from Jamaica and I am looking forward to travel to Chile in the next few months. Does anyone on this forum knows anything about the town of Los Angeles, Chile? Anyone living in the town, or who knows about the town, could you give me some practical information and guide-mark on the town?

I've been to Los Angeles, Chile many times. It's a small city right along the main north-south highway 5 from Santiago headed to the Lake District of southern Chile. The city itself is not a tourist destination - it is in a rich farming area, and the city central market is full of the harvest from the surrounding fields. There a nearby waterfall, Salto del Laja (on the Laja River) and the famous whitewater BioBio river is also nearby. There is a national park Laguna del Laja in the Andes Mountains east of Los Angeles.
