This is a good poll. I cannot speak at all about Toronto unfortunately. However, LA compared to New York, I think New York would win this.
I disagree. In NYC, diversity is very dense and concentrated and it doesn't seem like there is a majority. LA, while extremely diverse, has huge swaths of land such as the SGV that feel like you could be in China. This isn't to say that LA doesn't have its many, many diverse and dense neighborhoods, but SoCal in general is such a huge draw for Asians that anywhere you go you will see plenty of Asians.

Los Angeles is VERY Latino and Latino is the minority community you will feel when you're there. Both have diverse Asian populations but LA does not have anything that compares to New York's China Town. LA isn't even as Asian as San Francisco, let alone New York.
There are more Asian cities like SFC and Vancouver but out of these three LA takes the cake IMO.

LA is very Latino but it has an extremely strong Asian presence as well. Chinatown in LA is not much compared to Chinatown in NYC or Toronto, that is true but LA does have a huge Koreatown, the biggest Asian district in North America. Korean businesses actually extend out much further than the k-town boundaries. You can't go anywhere in central LA with out seeing Korean signs.
Asian enclaves in and around the LA area:
Koreatown
Little tokyo
Chinatown
Thai town
Little India
Historic Filipino town
Chinatown in Monterey park , Other parts of the SGV are full of Asians.
Little Cambodia in Long beach
Little Saigon in orange county (another huge spot for Asians)
I suppose the OP is referring to "East" Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.) and does not include "South" Asians (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc.).
Under the wider definition, Toronto would rank quite highly.
Did a quick check and out of 5.5 million people, Toronto's metro area has about 1 million people of East Asian origin. It also has about 1 million people of South Asian origin.
This does not include several hundred thousand people who are of Middle Eastern origin (Lebanese, Syrians, Iranians, etc.) who are also "Asians".

In the US, Asian always refers to people who "look Chinese". South Asians here are just all lumped together as Indian
Got to be NYC, there is a large Asian presence in LA. But it doesn't compare to the sprawl of Chinatown in Manhattan and areas like Flushing..
