We're trying to figure out if this is a safe area.
If you have any info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

It's safe enough, but there's a lot of industrial/commercial zoning in that area, if I'm not mistaken. It's towards the area where I work.

It is certainly a safer area than Muldoon, Mountain View, Fairview, and Spenard areas of Anchorage. There are a lot of commercial properties in the immediate area. So while it may be one of the safer areas of Anchorage, it certainly is not the prettiest.

The good news is that the Dimond Center is within walking distance.

We'd consider that a bad thing

In 2005 I briefly lived in an apartment complex located at the intersection of Lore & Meadow while I was waiting for my house to be completed. There was quite a bit of petty crime (vehicle break-ins, bike thefts, etc.) at the complex and in a nearby self storage lot. There's lots of traffic noise from the Seward Highway located one block west of Meadow. I wouldn't recommend the apartment complex to my worst enemy as it was poorly managed and they weren't selective about who they rented to. The new condos located towards the south end of Meadow were built upon a former drainage area which frequently grew into a small lake during heavy rains and spring break-ups. I've heard the condo owners have experienced lots of problems including water seepage, mold, foundations shifting, etc. In a nutshell, I'd consider an alternative location if possible.
