is it a good place for college students to rent a lake house for the summer, is it comparable to spring break? or are there a lot less college students in the summer compared to spring break?
if not what other places would be good to rent a lake house for the summer in the south west

Summer is more of the California boater / party crowd - not so much college spring break types. How about Lake Tahoe?

Really, you're only going to get the party crowd on the weekends even in the summer. Most people work but will come out on the weekends and some will make more three day weekends in the summer. Just don't expect it to be 24/7.

Yep. Like Billie said. Summer has many California boaters - of all ages, not necessarily college age - come in on Fridays but sometimes make a long weekend trip. A lot of activity on the lake, good night life. During the week the locals tend to primarily be on the lake - much more subdued. Either way it is nowhere near the craziness of the spring break period except on the holiday weekends.

I lived in Havasu for 3 years and say ditto to the above posts. The party crowd, even in summer, is pretty much weekenders.
