I will be driving a 25' RV from Flagstaff to Los Angeles, and wanted to stop by Prescott along the way. Is it OK to take the 89 from Ash Fork south to Prescott and then southwest to continue on to Blythe? The section from Prescott through the Prescott National Forest looks a bit twisty on Google maps, just wondering if it's still OK for an RV? Is Wickenburg worth a little detour to check out before heading to Blythe?

It is quite twisty just south of Prescott for about ~9 miles or so, then it sort of straightens out. I haven't driven anything that long on it but I have seen class A motor homes on it. They have to go sloooow around some of the turns. Just past Yarnell is a steep downhill section, not very long but you want your brakes in good condition.
What I like about that section is it is not very heavily traveled, except maybe on the weekends, and then it is mostly Motorcycles. I drove up that section on Labor day weekend (Sat) a couple of years ago, towing a large U-haul trailer. We were the only ones on the road!! I-17 was a mess as usual.
